Evelyn S. (Knight) Bays

Evelyn S. Bays, 66 of New Lexington, Ohio died at 5:52 am on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born July 9, 1954 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to the late David Lewis, Sr. and Ruby Ellen Hyson Knight.

She  was a retired social worker for the Perry County Court;  collected antiques and played bingo; was very loving and sociable.

Survived by her husband, Donald Bays; son, Richard Lama; step-children, David Bays and Amanda Bays; brothers and sisters, David Lewis (Annette) Knight, Jr.,  Crystal Brown, Debbie Hatch, La-Roy Knight, John (Melanie) Knight, Geraldine (Donald) Stallings, Sandra Tracy and Neil Knight; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Dean Knight.

Calling hours will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the funeral home with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating.

Burial will follow at the Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
