Gage K. Collins, 15, of New Lexington Ohio passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2024 in New Lexington, Ohio.
Born on February 27, 2009 to Travis and Jennifer Leading Collins
Gage loved being outside. He loved taking pictures of nature and sunsets. Riding his four-Wheeler brought him a freedom that most of us wouldn’t understand. He loved riding, fishing, and hanging out with his friends. He loved his music. He loved helping his friends and anyone in need. He loved fixing things, especially his truck. He loved dreaming about future projects with his dad. He loved his friends and family UNCONDITIONALLY; with such fierce and loyalty. He loved his big brother and little sister, and always wanted to protect her. Gage used his God given gift to bring so much joy and laughter to those around him. He could make anyone smile. He had just began growing in a relationship with the Lord. Proverbs 17:17, describes his short life on this earth the best. “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” This verse is about the value of friendship and his role as a brother in times of need. Gage was an old soul in a young man’s body that was not tainted by the world. He shined God’s light that was within him for all to see. From Gage’s Grandfather, Gage was a person where giving and being a friend was so natural that if you didn’t pay attention you would miss it. He would come and set with you for no other reason than just to be with you. As a little boy out of no where he gave me one of his hot wheel cars; looking back now I realize he wasn’t showing me how to give but, rather how to receive! And I still have that car. Many many stories like this to be told by others. We are all richer for having Gage in our lives. We know he lives with Jesus now and lives large in our hearts also.
Survived by parents, Travis and Jennifer Collins; sister, Maddie Collins; brother, Austin Brewster; grandparents, John K. and Donna Collins, Henry and Sherrill Hunt and Wayne and Connie Leading; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
