Gary E. Doss

Gary E. Doss, 76 of New Lexington, Ohio died at 6:05pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Pickering House, FairHoPe Hospice, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born April 19, 1946 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Eugene and Virginia Smethers Doss.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, New Lexington; also a member of the Bremen Masonic Lodge #608 and O.E.S. Chapter #167, Scottish Rite of New Lexington; he enjoyed fishing, playing euchre, loved to travel and spending time with his friends at the Perry County Senior Citizens Center.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Wilma Purvis Doss; brother, Frederick (Carol) Doss of Livermore, California; sister, Barbara (Roger) Smith of Lancaster, Ohio; brother in law, Richard Eugene (Marey) Purvis of Findlay, Ohio; nephew, Troy Smith of Nelsonville, Ohio; niece, Lillian Purvis of Findlay, Ohio; traveling friend, Edna Reed; and many friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be held 2-4pm and 6-8pm with Masonic Lodge and O.E.S. services starting at 7:45pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio 

Funeral service will be held 11am on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Priest and Pastor Richard Purvis officiating.
