Gladys M. (Miller) Beck

Gladys M. Beck, 97 of New Lexington, Ohio died at 2:40 pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Hospice of Genesis, Morrison House, Zanesville, Ohio.

Born June 20, 1925 in Buffalo, New York to the late Herman and Bertha Gehrman Miller.

She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, New Lexington; also a member Carnation Chapter #167, O.E.S. of New Lexington, where she was Worthy Matron; she enjoyed reading, sewing and cooking; a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survived by her husband, Eberhard  "Harry" Beck; six children, James (Evelyn) Weber of Zanesville, Joanne Poorman of Somerset, Marlene (Larry) Barnard of New Lexington, Grace (Richard) Williams of Lancaster, Eric Beck of Crooksville and Christine (Tom) Edwards of South Carolina; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Glowacki and Doris Moranski.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her brother, Allen Miller; son-in-law, James Poorman.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm with O.E.S Services at 7:45 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held on at 11:00 am Monday, October 17, 2022 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Kristin Santiago officiating.

Burial will follow at the Somerset Cemetery.
