Gladys Elaine (Taylor) Carr

Gladys Elaine Carr, 91, of Louisville, Kentucky went to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 6, 2022. She was born to Wilbert Borland and Thelma Ann Taylor in Cleveland, Ohio on March 10, 1930. 

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Alva Carr, a son Glenn Charles Carr, and Grandchildren Tammy Carr and Kenneth Michael Frazier. She is survived by her children: Charlotte Ann (Billy) Frazier of Newark, Ohio, Shirley Reni’a Wilson and Patricia Ann Carr of Louisville, Kentucky, Connie Lee Weatherman, and George Terry Carr. Her grandchildren George Carr, James Carr, Lueann Dodson, Glenn Carr, Brian Frazier, Kristen Miles, James Wilson, Gladys Roberts, and Rebecca Bridget. Several Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. 

Gladys was a member of the Hemlock Community Church and the First Church of God in both Corning and New Lexington for many years. She worked at Perry County Children’s Services for 17 ½ years and always supported Boystown and the St. Joseph Indian School.  

Calling hours will be held from 11am-12noon with funeral service at 12noon on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 with Richard Fitch officiating at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow in Millertown-Oakwood Cemetery, Millertown, Ohio.
