James R. “Rusty” Hogue, 65, of Corning, died Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Perry County E.R. in Somerset.
Born January 1, 1960, in Zanesville, to James F. Hogue and Anna (Compston) Hogue.
Rusty served his country as a member of the Ohio National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He could always be heard telling a story about his many adventures. Rusty was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family, and friends, which was one of his greatest joys. He was a loving and caring son, companion, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Rusty is survived by his children, Angela Hogue and Melissa Lindsey; step - daughter, Viola (Matt) Bell; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his loving fiance for many years, Lucy Six; two sisters, Lisa (Thom) Cordray and Michelle Toth and several nieces and nephews.
Rusty was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Hogue, his wife, Lynda Hogue; step-children, Bonnie Cochran, Robert, Johnny & Sam Holsinger one great grandson, Aiden Aklines and one great granddaughter, Oaklynn Miller.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 and from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the funeral home with pastor John Johnston officiating.
Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery
