James L Holdcroft

Our Beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend went to his heavenly reward today June 13, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. James L. (Jim) Holdcroft was born November 21, 1947 to the late John and Nettie Holdcroft.

Jim graduated from New Lexington High School in 1966 and joined the Army in 1967. He spent 13 months stationed in Korea, just barely missed being sent to Vietnam.

Jim worked many places over the years including Lempco and Boeing. He retired from Boeing in 2009 and spent his retirement days playing golf with his brother Max. He always said he wasn’t good at golf, but he sure had fun playing it. His biggest joy was his children and grandchildren. He would do anything he could for all of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his only sister Lelea and numerous relatives.

Surviving are his wife of almost 52 years, Dorothy; his children, Timothy Holdcroft (Joyce Reaser) and Gina (Chad) Lynch; his pride and joy grandchildren, Cody Palko, Kelsey Palko, Clayton Peterson and great granddaughters, Aurora Palko and Ellion Lynch; his bonus grandchildren, Christian Lynch (Talana Harris),  Kate Lynch and Caden Lynch, his 2 brothers Max (Betty) Holdcroft and Curtis (Karen Hazlett) Holdcroft and a large host of in laws and his longtime friends.

Family and friends may call from 4pm-8pm on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Reverend John Jividen officiating.

Jim will be laid to rest at Community Gardens Cemetery, State Route 13, New Lexington, Ohio, and graveside military services by John Tague Post #188, American Legion of New Lexington.
