James Michael (Mike) Steen, 69, of New Lexington passed away Friday, June 25, at SKLD Nursing Home of New Lexington. Born March 14, 1952, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late John J. Steen and the late Emma C. (Carney) Printz.
Mike was a lifetime resident of New Lexington and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. He was also a 26-year member of the New Lexington Eagles and enjoyed music, the outdoors, fishing, and in his younger years mowing lawns, hunting, and sports. His lawn customers spoke highly of his quiet kindness and quality of work.
Mike is survived by his sister Vicki Wolfe, brothers John Steen, Mark (Mary) Steen, Dave (Wendy) Steen, and Tom (Michelle) Steen, half-sister Pam Tivner, step-siblings Linda and Chuck Printz, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by his brother Danny Steen and step-father Charles Printz.
The family would like to thank the staff at SKLD Nursing and nurses from Fairhope Hospice for the care given to Mike.
Calling hours will be held from 9:30am-10:30am on Monday June 28, 2021 at the Roberts Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill St, New Lexington.
Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Todd Lehigh as Celebrant.
Burial will follow at Somerset Cemetery.
