Jimmy Lewis Bolyard, 77 of Crooksville, Ohio died at 5:20 am on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness.
Born February 14, 1944 on Laurel Mountain in Preston County, West Virginia to the late Columbus Arnold and Maxine Funk Bolyard.
Jim was a proud coal miner of the Congo and Simco Peabody mines and an established stock car driver with season championships at Mansfield, Wayne County and Midway Speedways. He was a member of Doric Lodge F & AM in Deavertown, Ohio.
Jim married the love of his life, Fontell Wilson Bolyard on October 3, 1964.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Terry) Osborn and son, Jimmy (Mona) Bolyard, both of Crooksville; grandchildren, Jalyn Bolyard, Lee Osborn and Arianna Osborn; bonus grandchildren, Jake, Gabe & Alex Sandefur, Jolene (Dustin) Gillespie, Josh (Sharayah) Burns; 5 bonus great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Bolyard of Crooksville,; sisters, Teresa (Bernard) Steimer of Crooksville and Janet (Francis) Silvus of Hackney; his uncle Sweaty (Madene) Bolyard of Crooksville and his aunt, Lida Gardner of Akron.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy & Nellie Bolyard and Charles & Leecy Funk; many aunts, uncles, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws .
The family would like to thank Kidney Care Centers of Zanesville and Dr. Raul Hernandez for their exceptional care for the past 5 years.
Calling hours will held from 12pm to 3pm with Masonic Lodge services at 3pm followed by funeral service with Deacon Mark Weiner officiating on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Private family burial will be at a later date in Zion Cemetery, Portersville, Ohio.
