Joan E. South

Joan E. South, 67, of New Lexington, Ohio passed away on Tuesday November 14, 2023 at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.

She was born February 7, 1956 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late John and Rose Charlene Williams Vandagriff.

Joan loved to cook and try new recipes, spend time with her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the warm weather in Florida.

She is survived by her sons, Shay (Rachel) South and Jaron Young; daughter Jenee Young Lemaster; grandchildren, Levi and Brooke Cremeans, Cohen Martin-Young, Nevaeh Smith, Avereigh and Shayde South; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Finley, Brooklyn, Lylah and Marissa; brothers, Tim (Krystal) Vandagriff and John (Sheri) Vandagriff; sisters, Lana (Ric) Rush and Linda (Thomas) Hollett.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers; Joseph and Daniel Vandagriff.

Calling hour will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the funeral home with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating. 

Burial will follow at New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington.
