John Michael Murphy

John Michael Murphy, 74 of New Lexington, Ohio died at 6:10 am on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at FairHoPe Hospice, Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born May 25, 1948 in Evanston, Illinois to the late William F. and Virginia Bowers Murphy.

He played golf; his AA friends were his biggest social life.

Survived by his wife, Ruth Bowers Murphy; one son, Dan Murphy; 4 daughters, Maureen Huizar, Haven Murphy, Erica Dinkens and Tia Lytle; 13 grandchildren; brother, Dennis Murphy and sister, Peggy Gordon.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by a sister.

No calling hours and A Celebration of Life Service  will be held at a later date.

Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
