Judith "Judy" Groff

Judith “Judy” A. Groff (Garey), passed away on May 25, 2024, in Somerset, Ohio at her residence at the age of 74.

She was born on May 5, 1950 in Junction City, Ohio to the late Clifford and Myrtle Keister Garey.

Judy loved to go ginseng and mushroom hunting, she loved to be in the woods, berry picking, listening to her music, playing with her grandchildren, she loved all animals, she took in many stray animals. Judy was a kind person who would always give money to various children’s foundations. She retired from the Duke N Duchess in Somerset, Ohio.

 She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Randy) O’Rourke, and Angel Bush; step-sons, Jeffery Moyer, Todd (Michelle) Moyer, Shannon Moyer, Rodney (Amy) Moyer, Butch (Tina) Moyer; grandchildren, Joshua (Meagan) Hartshorn, Randy (Ashley) O”Rourke, Amber (Jared) O’Rourke, Vanessa (Alex) O’Rourke, Tyler Russell, Dustin Groff, Jeffery (Kellie) Bush, Jacob (Ariel) Bush, Jaylynn Moyer, Brent Moyer, Colin Moyer, Cody Joseph, Lilly Lance and Landry Moyer; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Dawn, Nevaeh Nicole, Kaden, Addison, Aubrielle, Aubrey, Lacey, Zoey, Chase, Braden, Zada, Huntleigh, Aurora, Luke, Orrin and Bo; siblings, Mary Valentine, Jane Cain, Peggy Tippett and Bobby Garey; nieces, Lisa Tippett, Josie Valentine and Misty Garey; nephews, Shawn Cain and Rodney Cain; her fur babies that she loved so much, Opie and Buddy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Maudie Garey; ex-husband, Carl Groff; long time fiancé, Jeffery Moyer Sr.; granddaughter, Destiny Williams; brother-in-laws, Larry Cain and Joseph Valentine.

Calling hours will held 5-7pm on Friday, May 31, 2024 with funeral services at 7pm with Pastor Richard Fitch officiating at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
