Krystal R. (Flannery) Collins

Krystal R. Collins, 64 of New Lexington, Ohio passed away at 7:05 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at her home.

Kris was born July 19, 1956 in Anchorage, Alaska and lived in Ohio for most of her life.  She worked at Nationwide Insurance for 40+ years as a Systems Analyst, retiring in 2016.  She also started working as a software consultant for the Aviation Medicine Advisory Service in 2012.

Above all else, she loved her family. She also loved Christmas, gardening, crafts, and traveling.  The beach was her favorite place to be and she loved sunsets. Kris had a huge heart and she was known for opening her home to anyone who needed it.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Gregory) Machmer; son, B.J. (Kate McCall) Collins; grandchildren, Michelle and Gabrielle Machmer, Clay and Savannah Miller; sister, Cathy (Rob) Cazorla; niece, Caitlin (David) Bruton; great nephews, Elijah and Ezekiel Bruton; many nieces and nephews; her boys, Alex Fowler, Keaton Fowler, John Haley, Mike Russell, Jimmy Russell, Sage Householder and Casey Beach, along with countless others that she cared for deeply and considered family.

Kris was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Flannery, son, Zach Collins; brother and sister-in-law, Mike & Diane Flannery; and nephews, Mickey Flannery and Sammy Cazorla.

No calling hours or services will be held.  Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
