Laura Hynus

Laura Lee Hynus, 56, of New Lexington, Ohio, has lost her fight against small cell lung cancer and has passed away on Monday, May 13th, 2024 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

Laura was born on August 12th, 1967 in Athens, Ohio to Rebecca and Ralph Maddux. Her days were always spent with love and laughter with her kids and grandkids, and being the best caregiver to her autistic son.

She was a kind, strong, amazing and devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend who was always there for you whenever you needed. Laura had a big heart and would help anyone in any way she could, always putting the wants and needs of those that she loved and cared for, before her own.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rebecca and Ralph, sisters Teresa and Robin, and her brother, Bryan. She is survived by her husband, Jerry, her brothers, Ralph (Fred), Mark and Todd, her sisters, Jane and Pamula (Pam), her children, Chelsie, Tara, Cody, Maci and Samuel (Sam), her grandchildren, Brooklyn, Madeline, Brendon, Daylin, Devin, Adrian, Bryson and Gavin, and her great grand-son, Elijah, her mother and father in-law Rose and Jerry Hynus, several brothers and sisters in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held 11:00am-1:00pm with funeral services at 1:00 with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow at New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
