Loretta M. (Tierney) Hanley

Loretta M.  Hanley, 72, of New Lexington, Ohio gained her wings surrounded by her loving friends and Pastor Harry. Loretta passed at 12:17pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, Zanesville, Ohio.

Born June 3, 1947 in Manhattan, New York to the late Michael Tierney and Nellie McClusky.

Loretta was everyone’s friend. She was always concerned about others. She loved her grandchildren, her job and crossword puzzle books. In Loretta’s own words she was “rotten to the core.”

Loretta passed away peacefully with the comfort of her family and staff from Residential, Inc. Loretta loved her staff and the comfort of her residence. She appreciated the support she received from the Perry County Board of Developmental Disabilities while residing in Perry County, Ohio.

Survived by her son, Timothy Hanley of Canton, OH; daughter, Skyla (Chris) Foreman of Zanesville, OH and granddaughters, Barbara Ann and Marina whom she loved.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her brothers, Fred and Jimmy Tierney and a sister, Lillian Wholiver.

Calling hours will be held from 10am-1pm with funeral service at 1:00pm on Monday, February 24, 2020 with Pastor Harry Fannin officiating at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
