Louella Mae (Pettet) Mears

Louella Mae Mears, 88, of Coshocton, formerly of New Lexington, Ohio died on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at her residence.

Born on October 16, 1937 in Perry County, Ohio to the late Samuel and Ocea McGill Pettet.

Louella worked in sales with Stanley Home Products. She loved spending time with her family, always cherishing their gatherings and laughter. Louella enjoyed playing cards, tending to her plants and could often be found lost in a good book. She took great pride in her large and loving family of 88 descendants who meant the world to her.

She is survived by children, Lena (Edward) Kline, Ruth Brown, Wanda (Donald) Shaffer, Diana (Mark) Cavinee, Rebecca (Mike) Duncan, Martha Mears and Anthony (Judy) Mears; 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia (John) Jividen; sister-in-laws, Shirley Pettet, Gloria Pettet and Cora Mae Pettet.

Proceeded in death by husband, Alfred Mears; son, John Mears; son-in-law, Bill Brown; 4 grandchildren and brothers and sisters; Walter (Hazel) Pettet, Albert Pettet, Phillip Pettet, Marie Mears and Ernest Pettet.

Calling hours will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the funeral service at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Jerry Mears and Mark Cavinee officiating.

Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Portersville, Ohio.
