Marcella Marie (Drumm) Harbaugh

Marcella Marie Harbaugh, 87, passed away December 30, 2023 at Altercare Lanfair in Lancaster, Ohio surrounded by family.

Marcella was born February, 12, 1936 in Glenford, Ohio, the daughter of Clyde W. Drumm and Anna Marie (Shell) Drumm.  She grew up on a farm near Mt. Perry, Ohio with her six brothers and two sisters.  She attended Mt. Perry Elementary School and Somerset High School. 

Some of Marcella’s favorite pastimes were working jigsaw puzzles, solving word puzzles, going to lunch with friends, and occasionally, visiting a casino to play slots.  She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds play on TV, rarely missing a game.  She also enjoyed watching Ohio State football games. Her greatest joy however, always came from visits with her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marcella is survived by two daughters, Patricia L. Johnson of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Pamela K. (Ronald) Klingler of Lancaster.  Also surviving are three grandchildren; James E. (Karen) McCloy Jr., Heather L. (Fred) Baughman, and Kevin E. (Jen) Klingler, and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Donald J. Harbaugh, 2 sisters, Dorothy M. Householder and Frances L. Hollar, 6 brothers, Frederick W. Drumm, Gilbert S. Drumm, Ernest C. Drumm, Ralph E. Drumm, Richard E. Drumm, and Paul E. Drumm.  Also preceding her in death was a granddaughter, Jennifer Rebecca McCloy Saavedra who died in 2010.

Friends may call from 11am-1pm with funeral service at 1:00pm with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the  Roberts Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio
