Marcella Constance Cannon Spangler, 89, of Zanesville, Ohio formerly of New Lexington, Ohio died at 9:33pm on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare System Emergency Department, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born November 19, 1928 in New Lexington, Ohio to the late Arthur Franklin and Aurilla Jane Williams Cannon.
Marcella was a very kind and well liked lady; she loved to read and watch her soap operas. Member of the former Calvary United Methodist Church of New Lexington.
Survived by her daughter, Kim Spangler Piccone of Zanesville; grandchildren, Kenley Piccone of Zanesville, Brad (Georganne) Schuch, Tracy (David) Knippelmier, Brian (Jennifer) Schuch and Whitnie Schuch; 5 great-grandchildren, Isabel, Alyssa, Olivia, Emma and Amelia Schuch; sister, Marilyn Irene Cannon (Roger Maurice) Folk of Colorado, their children, Mark (Melissa) Folk, Diana (Todd) Smith and the late Michael Folk
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Spangler; daughter, Shirley Jane Spangler Schuch; 2 brothers, Leslie Franklin Cannon and Gerald Eugene “Gene” Cannon and step-mother, Nellie Maffett Snider Cannon.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm-7pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
