Margaret Jean (Roark) Holman, 91 of New Lexington went home to be with her Lord and reunite with the love of her life, Thomas Holman Jr., on November 7, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 22, 1932 in Coxton, Ky., to the late Taylor and Fannie Roark.
She spent her life totally devoted to the Lord and her family. She took great pride in her children and her grand-children. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Survived by sons: Taylor (Lillian) Holman, Tom Holman, Ron (Joyce) Holman, Greg “Chuck” (Dawn) Holman, and daughters: Melda (Hubert) Cottrill, and Aldonna (Mike) Poling, Sister-in-law, Jeanie Roark of Danise, W.Va., Grandchildren: Steve (Misty) Burton, Shauna (Bill) Kimble, Shanon (Josh) Stoltz, Heath (Morgan) Holman, Margaret Vanke, Jason (Rebecca) Holman, Jared (Jessie) Holman, Tyler (Kelli) Poling, Dustin (Megan) Poling, Colin (Jerrica) Poling, Krista (Mitchell) Wyer, Bethany (Michael) Koonts, Leah (Dave) Abrams, Olivia (Fiancée Kolvin Hunter), 38 great grand-children, baby Norah due in February, and 4 great great grand-children.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son Danny Joe Holman, sisters Martha (Joe) Fultz, Pontiac, Michigan, Jewel (Dewey) Ellis, Keokee, Virginia, Jerry Ann Heldon, Harlan Ky. and Brother James Farmer Roark, of Danise, W. Va. ; and her very cherished friend Thea Hatem.
Calling hours will held from 12-6 PM on Sunday November 12, 2023 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and from 10am-11am on Monday at the church
Funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 215 East Broadway, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Randy Foust officiating.
