Marvin Eugene Nelson, 70, of New Lexington, Ohio, died at 12:32 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at his home.

Born February 17, 1952 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late George Leslie & Marian Louise Hazlett Nelson.

Marvin was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and an Ohio National Guard, he was a loving husband and loved to fish and hunt.

Survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Bolyard Nelson; children, Sherri Nelson, Rich Nelson and Chad Nelson; grandchildren, Tosha, Ryon, Tyler, Lyndsea and Lyllian; great-grandchild, Adelaide; brother and sisters, Nora Nelson, Pam Nelson (John Middaugh), Mery Nelson (T.J. Wilson), Lena Seals and Mike (Gwen) Nelson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry (Susan) Bolyard and Johnny Bolyard, Martha (Ron) Brame, Dennis (April) Bolyard and Debbie (Jim) Proctor; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by several aunts and uncles; sister-in-law, Evelyn Dodson.

Calling hours will be held from 4pm-8pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the funeral home with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating.

Burial will follow in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio with graveside military services by John Tague Post #188, American Legion, New Lexington, Ohio.
