Mary Ellen Wright, 85, of Corning, Ohio died on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Genesis Hospice in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born on May 25, 1939 in Corning, Ohio to the late Frank and Marjorie Chappelear Wright.

Mary was very special and kind hearted lady who touched a lot of people’s lives, especially her students who she taught. Very popular and supportive of her community. She loved Politics, History, Fox News, Yellowstone and most importantly her cats. She was very feisty, independent and strong minded lady. She will be greatly missed.

Survived by nephew, David (Annette) Wright of Corning; Brother, Jim (Judy) Wright of Kentucky; nieces, Anna (John) Mcqueary of Cincinnati and Robin (Bill) of Kentucky; great niece, Courtny (Ben) Fulk of Corning; great nephew, Brandon (Amber) Wright of Roseville; great niece, Lacey (Dana) Owen of Shawnee; special cousin, Mike Chappelear of Columbus; great – great nieces and nephew, Vivien and Weston Fulk and Avery Wright; beloved pet, Little Mister.

A gravesite burial and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
