Mary R. "Birdie" (Savage) King

Mary R. “Birdie” King, 96, of New Lexington Ohio passed away at 5:10pm on Thursday December 4th 2025 at Genesis Healthcare System, Emergency Department in Zanesville, Ohio.

 Mary was born on December 21st 1928 to the late Robert and Anna Harris Savage.

Mary was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church of New Lexington Ohio. Mary was a devoted homemaker who loved to care for her family; in her spare time she was an avid reader and loved to just work around the house and to stay as active as she could. She was a devoted and wonderful grandmother who loved her grandkids deeply.  

Survived by her children, Frederick Wallace King, Lois (Rick) Tracy, Jeff King, Mark (Robin) King and Jody (Jamie) King, sister in law, Nancy King; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great -great grandchildren and nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick King; sons, Terry and David King and several brothers and sisters.

Calling Hours will be held from 5pm-7pm on Wednesday December 10th 2025 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Main Street New Lexington Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday December 11th 2025 at the funeral home with Father Emmanuel Adu Addi officiating.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio
