Melissa Lynn (Hartshorn) Monk

Melissa Lynn Monk, 60, of Junction City, Ohio died at 5:00am on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at her home.

Born December 25, 1960 in Zanesville, Ohio to William Hartshorn and the late Irene McCoy Hartshorn.

Melissa was a floral designer at several local florist; she loved being a Mother, everybody called her “Mama Monk”; she loved her grandchildren and loved to travel; she had a good sense of humor, was funny and always was the life of the party.

Survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert Monk; son, Robert (Ashley) Monk, Jr.; daughter, Hayley Monk; grandchildren, Taylar, Robert, III, Brody and Bryer; sister, Brooke Hartshorn; several nieces, nephews and a special nephew, Josh Hartshorn.

In addition to her mother, preceded in death by her brother, Billy Hartshorn.

Calling hours will be held from 1pm-3pm on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
