Nora M. Helwig

Nora Helwig, 68, passed away at 9:10am on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at the Pickering House, FairHoPe Hospice, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born on June 7th, 1956 in Rehoboth, Ohio to the Russell and Dorothy Matthews Wolfe.

Nora worked as a House keeper for 6 and a half years at the Sunbridge Nursing home now known as New Lexington Care and Rehabilitation.   

Survived by her husband, Gilbert Helwig; children: Jennifer (Roger) Barker, Kristi Michelle Gaunt, Melissa (Camilo) Turrubiates, Jake (Tionna) Dyer, Katie Watkins, Matt (Danelle) Helwig, Jamie Kirk, Joey Kirk and Dyllynn Wolfe. 28 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren, sisters: Catherine “Cat” Wolfe, Nita Gossett, special nieces: Carey Lutz, Melissa Tankersley

 In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her son Gilbert Helwig Jr., sister Shelba Jean Abram and Friend and mother of other children, Rosemarie Helwig,

Calling hours will be held at 12:00pm to 2:00pm with funeral service at 2:00pm with Pastor Dave Helser officiating on Wednesday September 11th, 2024 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
