Peter James Finck, beloved husband, son, brother and uncle, died on December 10, 2023, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family.
Pete was born on October 27, 1956, in Moses Lake, Washington, to David and Gaynor (Emson) Finck. Traveling the world as an “Air Force Brat”, Pete considered New Lexington to be home, where he met and married his beloved Sherie (Sharon Shoemaker).
As part of local music legends, Boley and Finck, Pete entertained thousands over the years. For the past twelve years, he was the audio-video manager at The Ohio Statehouse.
In addition to his father and wife, Pete is survived by his siblings, Vicki (Ron) Barker, Paul (Diane) Finck, Cathy (Tim) Shumaker, John Finck, Michael (Leslie) Finck, mother-in-law, MaryAlice Shumaker; sister-in-law, Pamela Ryan; brother-in-law, Paul John Shumaker and many nieces and nephews.
Pete is preceded in death by his mother, sister-in-law Lisa Finck and many other special family and friends.
Visitation is from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with the Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 am on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 1170 State Route 668, South, Junction City, Ohio. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
