Phillip W. Rambo, 71, of Cincinnati, died March 1, 2021. He was born January 4, 1950, to Ralph L. Rambo, Jr., and Nondyce J. (Tefft) Rambo, late of New Lexington.
Phil was a proud graduate of New Lexington High School and The Ohio State University. He was a nearly fifty-year employee of GE Aviation, where he was still working as the Chief Consulting Engineer charged with oversight of the company’s large commercial jet engine programs. The cornerstone of his career was the groundbreaking and Guinness World Record-holding GE90 Jet Engine. Phil will be missed by his two brothers, Glenn (Carol) Rambo and Daniel (Beverly) Rambo, and four sisters, Madeline (Robert Staron) Rambo, Patricia (William) Phillips, Jody (Thomas) Clemens, and Anna Kay (Kenneth Gulick) Rambo. He will be missed as well by his nieces and nephews and the many others who made up his large circle of family, friends, and colleagues.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, in New Lexington, with a brief service to follow.
In remembrance of Phil, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First United Methodist Church, 126 South High Street, in New Lexington.
