Richard L. Munyan, 67, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 6:42 AM on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born September 3, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to The late William Ernest and Betty Helsop Munyan.
He loved his grandkids very much, especially his granddaughter, Jaelyn; he loved to watch his grandsons play football; was a huge Bengals fan; greatest joy was going to church and being around family; loved music and singing specials in church and played drums. He was a United States Air Force and Ohio Army National Guard veteran; he was also a collector of Hot Wheels and Die Cast Cars
Survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Dunwoody Munyan; sons, Rick (Kelly) Munyan of Junction City and Craig (Jamie Skeens) Munyan of Somerset; grandchildren, Jarrett, Casey, Jason, Justin, Josh and Jaelyn; step-grandchildren, Bobby Kunkler and Kenedi Kunkler; sisters, Phyllis Munyan Pettit and Mary Farmer; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Bill (Judy) Dunwoody of Toledo, Patty (Dave) Kangas of Malta, Mary (Steve) Fisher of New Lexington and Cliff (Jill) Dunwoody of Junction City.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by son, Jason Munyan; mother and father-n-law, Alfred & Margaret Dunwoody.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 and from 10 am-12pm on Thursday. March 31, 2022 at the Anchor Church, 379 Kennedy Drive, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 12noon on Thursday at the church with Brother Anthony Richard and Reverend Richard Young officiating.
Burial will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery with graveside military services by John Tague Post #188, American Legion of New Lexington.
Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
