Rita Jean Swackhamer

Rita Jean Swackhammer, 55, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 9:10am on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Genesis Healthcare System Emergency Room in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born June 7, 1967 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Jerry Swackhamer and Gladys Allen Fernandez of Texas.

Rita was a nurses aide at nursing homes and home health care; she loved to play cards, yahtzee, was the most outspoken person in your life, had no filter and she loved her dogs and chickens.

 In addition to her Mother, survived by two brothers, Kevin and Jerry Swackhamer, liife-long partner, Theodore H. “Teddy” Hiles; two step-brothers, Jessie and John Fernandez and a step-sister, Jessica Fernandez.

In addition to her Father, preceded in death by her step-father, Jessie Fernandez and a sister, Barbara Swackhamer.

Calling hours will be held from 12pm-5pm on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
