Robert "Bob" F. Spangler

Robert “Bob” F. Spangler, Sr. 76, of Corning, died 6:20 AM, Thursday, July 1, 2021, at his home. He was born June 16, 1945, in Lancaster, the son of Lloyd Spangler and Bertie (Freeman) Spangler. He married Linda E. (Hare) Spangler on June 19, 1964, and was a member of House of Prayer in Drakes.

Bob was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed collecting NASCAR, Coco Cola and M&M memorabilia. He loved to collect antiques and refurnish antique furniture.

Bob is survived by six children: Robert “Bob” (Teresa) Spangler, Jr. of South Carolina, Patricia (Mike) Waddell of The Plains, Lucinda Hinkle of Corning, Janet Spangler of Circleville, Lloyd (Regina) Spangler of Guysville and Terri (Alan) Newman of New Lexington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren;  brothers and sisters: Terry (Pat) Spangler of Logan, Pam (Alan) Ramsey of Florida, Connie Sherrod of Little Hocking, Lisa (Jeff Hatfield) Flory of Logan, Cindy (Frank Mosure) Harding, Lloyd (Gloria) Spangler, Stephanie (Randy) Paige, Armita Primmer and Cheryl (Wayne Paige all of Corning; one brother-in-law: Tom Bailey of Rendville; a special pet: Lucy and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife: Linda E. Spangler and one sister: Doreen Bailey.

Friends may call 10:00 AM to 12 pm  with funeral service at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Roberts Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, with Randy Paige officiating. Bob will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife in Community Gardens Cemetery.
