Ruth M. (Storts) Hoops

Ruth M. Hoops, 95 of New Lexington, Ohio died at 11:08 am on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born November 26, 1925 in Perry County, Ohio to the late Ina Wiggins Storts and Homer Storts.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, New Lexington and the Carey Mayer Circle at the church; she worked for a few years for the Zanesville and New Lexington City Schools.

Survived by a daughter, Janice Keller; a son, Allen ( Brenda) Hoops of Sanford, Florida; two brothers, Rodney Storts of Plant City, Florida and Charles (Jo)Storts of Willard; two sisters, Claire LaTour of Westerville and Betty Clark of Lancaster; one sister-in-law, Rose Storts of Melbourne, Florida; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, Willard Hoops; son, Ron Hoops; a daughter, Sandy Slatzer; 3 brothers, Darryl (Julia) Storts,  Bob Storts and Vernon (Elsie) Storts; one sister, Ann (Walter) Howell; one son-in-law, Jeff Keller; brother-in-law, Paul Clark and sister-in-law, Ima Storts.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the funeral home with Reverend Greg Inboden officiating.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
