Sharon "Sherie" Lynn (Shumaker) Finck

Sharon (Sherie) Lynn Shumaker Finck, aged 69, of Grandview Heights, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 4th, 2025 at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. Born February 15th, 1956 in New Lexington, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Alice (Bell) Shumaker.

Sherie grew up in New Lexington, Ohio and was a graduate of New Lexington High School. She met her beloved husband, Pete (Peter James Finck), in New Lexington. The high school sweethearts shared many wonderful years together. Sherie had an extremely creative mind. She was very inquisitive and always loved to help friends and family solve a problem. Sherie loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. 

Sherie is survived by her brother, Paul John Shumaker; aunt, Eyvonne Lausa; aunt, Ruth Ann Lovett; nephew, Joshua Ryan; niece, Jessica (Kevin) Augsburger; great nieces, Madelyn and Sylvia Augsburger; father-in-law, David Finck; sister-in-law Vicki (Ron) Barker, brother-in-law Paul (Diane) Finck, sister-in-law Cathy (Tim) Shumaker, brother-in-law John Finck, brother-in-law Michael (Leslie) Finck, and other beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Peter James Finck; sister, Pamela Shumaker Ryan; mother-in-law, Gaynor (Emson) Finck; sister-in-law, Lisa Finck; brother-in-law, John Ryan, brother-in-law, Dan Rako; and many other special family and friends.

Calling hours will be held at 9:00am to 11:00am on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 1170 Ohio 668, Junction City, Ohio.

Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00am at the church with Father Emmauel Adu Addai officiating.

Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Junction City, Ohio with Reverend Richard Newlon officiating.
