Sherie Sue (Wilson) Self

Sherie Sue (Wilson) Self, 69, was born in Newark, Ohio, on March 1st, 1957, and graduated from New Lexington Senior High School, Class of 1975. Sherie passed away on June 9th, 2026. Sherie lived most of her life in New Lexington but also lived in Roseville and Zanesville as well. She worked for Higbie Manufacturing of New Lexington, Ohio. She enjoyed The Wizard of Oz, she was an avid reader, enjoyed time with her grandchildren when possible, watching soap operas, classic movies, and TV shows. 

She is survived by her brother, Gary Douglas Wilson; her children, Michelle Lee Winegardner, James Wesley (Katrina) Self IV, and Jana Marie (Ryan) Musser; her grandchildren, Aryk Connery Wilson, Ashlee Danielle Winegardner, Ashton Zachery Winegardner, James Wesley Self V, Jaxton Ryan Musser, and Walter Jay Self; as well as dearly loved friends and extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lee Wilson; her father, Michael Joseph Wilson; as well as grandparents, many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. 

Calling hours will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, June 11, 2026, and 10:00am-11:00am on Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 12, 2026 at the funeral home with Pastor Kristin Santiago officiating.

Burial will follow at the New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
