Susan McQuain

Susan M. McQuain, 59 of Somerset, passed away 3:00 AM, Saturday, June 24, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born February 6, 1964 in Whitesburg, KY, the daughter of Harold & Naomi Faye (Dingus) Pingle.  She married Herbert “Alan” McQuain, the love of her life, on October 25, 1984.

She was employed with Hopewell Healthcare for many years and enjoyed her time spent with her co-workers. Susan loved Elvis and to this day Susan is still his biggest fan. She loved watching her sons racing quads and playing bingo was an activity that she really enjoyed. Attending Living Waters Christian Fellowship, she fully accepted our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, into her heart. Susan was a loving and caring wife, mother and sister who greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband of over 38 years, Susan is survived by two sons Dustin McQuain and Cameron McQuain; her siblings, Don (Debi) Pingle, David (Lisa) Pingle, Jeffrey (Peggy) Pingle, Barry Pingle, Debra (Roger) Hooper and Paula (Barry) Bowers; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her infant son, Justin McQuain and one brother, Steve Pingle.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the Roberts Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, where funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 29, 2023, with Pastor Mike Stover officiating.
