Tara Ivers, 53, of New Lexington, passed away, Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Genesis Hospital following a brief illness. She was born October 21, 1967, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Avery Brown and Maxine (Smail) Brown. She married Jeffrey Ivers on August 17, 1985, and was a member of Spring Hills Community Church.
Tara retired from the City of Columbus to become a Licensed Home School Teacher. She enjoyed horseback riding, barrel racing and painting fingernails with her daughter, Sophia. She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed her trips to Amish Country.
Tara is survived by her mother: Maxine Brown; her husband: Jeffrey Ivers; her daughter: Sophia Marie Ray, five siblings: Dylon Brown, Shyla (Terry) Vincent, Treavy (Craig) Keister, Teena (Christopher) Moran and Carla Wonch; brothers and sisters-in-law: Carol (Jim) Dean, Max Ronald (Denise) Ivers, Donald (Kathy) Ivers, Tammy (Paul) Brasseur and Kris (Rick) Houston.
Tara was preceded in death by her father: Avery Brown and father & mother in-law, Max D. & Jean Ivers.
Friends may call Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 3:00 PM, to 6:00 PM, at the Roberts Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, where Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, October 11, 2021, with Pastor Ryan Tooill officiating. Tara will be laid to rest in Rehoboth Cemetery.
