Thelma D. (Rush) Allen

Thelma D. Allen, 91, of New Lexington, Ohio passed away on Saturday January 8, 2022 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio, following a brief illness with covid.

Born May 22, 1930 in Moundsville, West Virginia, daughter of the late Edger and Ethel Rush.

Grandma Allen will be greatly missed and she was a member of the Community Holiness Church of New Lexington.

Survived by her 2 daughters, Kathy Jo (Mark), Taylor of California and Dyan (Tom) Ryan of New Lexington;  son John Allen of New Lex;  sisters Frances Palmer and Bertha Godby; brother Elmer Rush; 12 grandchildren, Stacy (Mike) Cantu, Sheila Allen, Sherry Allen, Chad (Heather) Spohn, Brian (Holly) Spohn, Allena Shupe, CPT Michael Taylor, Capt Nikki (Bogdan) Oniu, Ashley (Kevin) Renick, Mindy (Brian) Koon, Johnathan Allen, Steven (Brittney) Allen, 19 great grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her loving husband Howard Allen, son, Steve Allen, daughter in law, Donna J. Allen, siblings, Cecil Rush, Jessie Brady, Alberta Stackhouse, Dessi Coffey, Ira Rush and Harold Rush.

Calling hours will be held 10:30am-11:30am with funeral service at 11:30 Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Marvin Shipman officiating.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.

Family request masks are required at the funeral home.
