Truman Eugene Pittman

Truman Eugene Pittman, Jr., 80, of Somerset, died Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Altercare Somerset Rehabilitation. He was born May 27, 1943, in Lancaster, the son of the late Truman Pittman, Sr. and Zelma (Shaffer) Pittman.

Truman served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany from 1964 to 1966. He retired from Scottsdale Manufacturing in Lancaster following many years of service.

He will be missed for his amazing sense of humor. Truman could always get a smile and a laugh from anyone. He was an avid Elvis fan, a collector of baseball cards and coins and was an excellent woodworker.

He is survived by four children, Terry Ransom of Zanesville, Truman Pittman III and Travis Pittman both of Roseville and Tracy Jamil of Zanesville; several grandchildren; five great grandchildren and his companion of over 30 years, Joanne Kerjic.

In addition to his parents, Truman was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Elizabeth Caplinger and the mother of his children, Diane Pittman.
