Wanda Shearer

Wanda J. Shearer, 82, of New Lexington, Ohio died Wednesday, February 27, 2024 at Highland Oaks Healthcare Center in McConnelsville, Ohio.

She was born April 10, 1941 in Corning, Ohio to the late Loren and Goldie McCutchen Kenison.

Wanda was a member of the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene in New Lexington; she worked as head cook at New Lexington City Schools, she loved cooking, sewing and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen and Vicki Shearer; grandchildren, Curtis Lazier and Brittany Shearer; and her sister, June Coffman.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Shearer; siblings, Pauline, Dorothy, Georgie, Tom and Richard; and two nephews.

Calling hours will be held 11am-1pm with funeral service at 1pm with Pastor Jeff Gilkerson officiating on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow at Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
