William W Glass

William (Bill) Wayne Glass, 86, of Moxahala, Ohio went to be with the Lord on February 11th, 2022 at New Lexington Healthcare and Rehab.

Bill was born February 12th, 1935, in New Lexington, Ohio the son of Robert (Bob) R. and Marie E. (Wilson) Glass. He attended Moxahala School, class of 1953. He married his High School sweetheart Betty L. Glass on December 18th, 1953. Bill retired from the Perry County Engineers office and served as a Pleasant township trustee for many years. He was an avid lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Most of all he had a sincere love for his family. His stories, jokes, and infectious laugh will be missed by all.

Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years Betty Glass; their three sons, Steve (Barb) Glass, Ronald (Colisa) Glass, Rick (Michelle) Glass; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Shawn) Gardner, Amanda (Tracy) Hambel, Tabitha (Ron) Simpson, Nicki (Preston) Banks, and Ben Glass; nine great-grandchildren, Taylor Starlin, Logan Starlin, Macy Hambel, Sydney Hambel, Caleb Jones, Jade Simpson, Carter Simpson, Canyon Simpson, Jake Jones; and one great-great-grandchild, Keegan Krzewinski, and brother Jim (Robin) Glass.

In addition to his parents Bill is preceeded in death by his three sisters, Marjorie Corbett, Connie Boring and Lorena Stalter, great-grandson Tyler Jones.

Family and friends may call from 4pm – 8pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 and 11am-1pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 with a funeral service at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Community Holiness Church, 120 Thorn Street, New Lexington, Ohio 43764. Burial will be at Oakfield Cemetery following the funeral service.
