William J Verkest II

William J. Verkest II, 54, of Crooksville, Ohio died on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Wexner Medical Center at the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.

Born December 3, 1967 in Warren, Michigan to William J. Verkest, Sr. of Fostoria, Ohio and the late Susan Jane Pate Verkest.

William was a member of Catholic by Faith; he was a very proud volunteer firefighter, he was in paramedic training and squad runs; he was a member of the city council and mayors court in Corning, Ohio.

In addition to his father, survived by Life Partner, Charlene Aliff; sister, Robin Verkest; brother, Jody Verkest; sister, Wendy (John) Church; children, William Douglas (Nichole) Verkest, Kenneth (Tina) Verkest, William Joseph (Tonya) Verkest III, Kerie Verkest; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his mother, preceded in death by 1 grandchild.

Calling hours will be held from 2pm-6pm on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the funeral home with Father Todd Lehigh officiating.

Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery, Bristol, Ohio
