Zelma Kathryn (Hill) Seals

Zelma Kathryn (Hill) Seals passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10, 2022, just 16 days before her 94th birthday.  Kathryn was born to the late John and Hazel (Abram) Hill on February 26, 1928 in Perry County, Ohio.  She was retired from Bryant’s. Member of the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene. She loved the Lord and served him in anyway possible.  She taught Sunday School that she loved so much and was proud to sing in the church choir. She was faithful to and loved reading her Bible daily. So enjoyed her volunteer work with the Perry County Senior Center over the many years and anything she could help with at with church.  She loved her time with all her family and friends.  She and her husband, spent many winters in Florida where she was the top “fisherwoman” and loved to play Bingo at the community center at her park. Never did she forget to tell about the “Bear” she crossed paths with as a child, going to catch the school bus, way up on that BIG HILL!

She is survived by her Children that she cherished and loved so very much, Gary (Mary) Seals, Joan (Don) Givens, Marjorie Givens, Bob (Debbie) Seals and James (Tammy) Seals.  Her grandchildren, Jennifer (Cecil) Hanes, Andy (Kathy) Seals, Beth (Rich) Lamp, Jeannette (John) Newell, Ben (Misty) Seals, Missy (Sam) Bennett, Lori (Tom) Stant, Gina (Michael) Givens, Brad (Mindy) Givens, Matt Givens, Josh Givens, Jeremy (Danielle) Seals, Krystal (John) Wilson and Blake (Amanda) Karns, and many Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Her Brother Robert “Bob” (Pat) Hill and many Brother-In-Laws and Sister-In-Laws, many nieces and nephews.  Her sweet dear Aunt Florence Paxson and many cousins.

In addition to her parents John {6-7-1981} & Hazel {9-18-2004} she is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband James Howard Seals {3-21-2015} (they were married 69 years), a grandson, Robert “Bo” Seals {2-19-2020}, 3 Brothers Arthur Gene {6-6-1996}, George {11-20-2001}, and Carl David Hill {7-4-2021}, and her sister Mary Ann Novick {11-26-2012}. 

Calling hours will be Monday, February 14, 2022 from 4-8pm and Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 9-11am with the funeral at 11:00am on Tuesday at the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, 7945 Tunnel Hill Rd. New Lexington, Ohio 43764 with Pastor Larry Brisker and Pastor Jeff Gilkerson officiating.

Kathryn will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Community Gardens, New Lexington, Ohio.
