Charles Edward Rose, Sr., 73, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 11:40am on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Genesis-New Lexington Care Center.
Born November 26, 1943 in New Lexington, Ohio to the late Arthur, Sr. and Armel Bowers Rose.
Charles was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era; retired coal miner from Peabody Coal Company and Methodist by faith.
Survived by his wife Linda Lou Glanemann Rose of the home; children, Charles, Jr. (Linda) Rose of Crooksville, David (Lisa) Rose of New Lexington, Lisa Rose of Lancaster, Eric Correll of Thornville, Misty (John) Alderman of Westerville and Sarah (Ron) Triplett of Glenford; grandchildren, Jordan Rose, Olivia Rose, Ayla Correll, Bria Correll, Madison Justice, Cora Triplett, Hunter Justice, Colton Triplett, Gracie Triplett and Brandy Roby; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Rylynn Roby; brothers and sisters, Norma (Joe) Perani of Crooksville, Pauline Lipps of New Lexington, Arthur (Norma) Rose of Roseville, Carolyn “Kay” Lyons of Lodi, Judy Ann (Paul) Hazlett of New Lexington and Mary Lou Ray of New Lexington.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Kenneth Rose.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm-8pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Harper officiating.
Burial will be in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio with graveside military services by John Tague Post #188, American Legion, New Lexington, Ohio.
