Dewayne Joseph Thompson (Wood), 34, of Pataskala, Ohio, formerly of Crooksville, Ohio died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at his home.

Born January 19, 1982 in Zanesville, Ohio to William Thompson of Junction City and Ladonna Yarger Wood of Lancaster.

Dewayne loved football and his family, he was a larger than life kind of person.

Survived by his mother, Ladonna Wood (Robert Barlow) of Lancaster; father, William Thompson of Junction City; 2 sons, Luke and Ryan Thompson; brother, Nicholas Wood of New Lexington; grandparents, Judy and Paul Hazlett of New Lexington; step-brother, William Thompson, Jr. and step-sister, Ashley Thompson, both of Junction City.

Preceded in death by Step-father, Donald Wood; step-sister, Samantha Thompson; grandparents, Dave and Sandy Thompson; grandfather, Forrest Yarger, Sr.

Calling hours will be held from 4pm-8pm on Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the funeral home. 

Burial will be in Crooksville Cemetery, Crooksville, Ohio.
