Sarah M. Skinner, 101, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 6:00am on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Genesis-New Lexington Care Center.
Born June 29, 1915 in Babylon, New York to the late Charles and Myrtle B. Work Heinley.
Sarah worked on Bombers as a Rosie Riveter in Cleveland during WW II; moved from Roseville to New Lexington in 1982 and was the Assistant Manager into her nineties at Arethusa Springs Apartments; she then because of failing health lived with her daughter Anne Craig and granddaughter Stacie Craig-Shirkey until 2015.
She celebrated her 100th with a party at Genesis Healthcare and passed her 101th in June with a card shower. She was an avid donator to many charities here and in New York.
She was an only child but gave birth to seven children, survived by 4 of them, Stuart Reppart of Norwich, Kenny Reppart of South Carolina, Richard Skinner of New Lexington and Anne Skinner-Craig of New Lexington; 29 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by step-father, Stewart Yonally; 3 children, Lewis Reppart, Sylvia Randolph and Michael Skinner-Heskett; brother, William Yonally; 2 grandchildren, Silvia Anne Baker and Scott Reppart.
Calling hours will be held from 10am-12noon with Memorial Service at 12:00noon with Pastor Peggy Watts officiating on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Burial will in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
