I had the privilege of working with Bro. Lowder at the church in New Lexington. He was surely a man of many talents and he loved to work for the Lord.

Ben Lowder...what a great man he was. Always willing to help with the task at hand. What a voice he had!! He was an awesome singer, and had such a caring heart for those around him. We appreciated the time we had together at New Lexington. Our sympathy to his wife Melanie, and his son, Benjamin. You will be in our prayers!!!

I knew Ben from my teaching years at Goshen Elementary in Gahanna. May I tell you that I saw the character of God in Ben as he interacted with both teachers and students. Ben was a man of patience and compassion to everyone. I was a much better teacher because Ben displayed such a great example of loving children. I remember when he came in to my classroom to share with me his love for the Lord and that he had decided to enter into ministry. I know that Ben is singing heavenly praises to God now and watching over each of the lives that he touched.
My prayers and thoughts are with you as his family.

Bro. Lowder was a blessing to us. We loved his preaching and singing. He was a true Saint of God.
Sister Lowder we wish you and your son peace and love at this sad time. But we should be glad because we know Bro. Lowder is home. Love to all.

In the short time I worked at Southern, I came to think of Ben as a friend. He had a smile for everyone, and time for anyone who needed his attention. I loved seeing him in the hall with the bike and all his tools, stopping to speak to kids, including those often ignored by others. I'm sure he was a great family man, too. I know he will be missed by many. Ben's kindness to me will always be with me in my heart.
