Clinton “Gene” Boring, 69, of Crooksville died peacefully, Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Genesis Health & Rehab Center in New Lexington following a long illness. He was born October 25, 1946 in New Lexington the son of Clinton E. Boring and Clara Ann (Ratliff) Boring. He married Carolyn “Connie” (Glass) Boring on May 27, 1979.
Gene was employed with LEMPCO for over 39 years of service. Gene served his nation as a veteran of the United States Air Force. During his enlistment, Gene was a Jet Engine Mechanic. Gene was an avid fisherman, was a chain saw wood carver, enjoyed hand wood carving and whittling. His greatest joy was being a husband, father and grandfather who greatly enjoyed and cherished the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Gene is survived by six children: Michael (Jessica) Boring of Corning, Lory (Jeff) McCune of Hemlock, Charles (Lesa) Garey of Portersville, LeRoy (Bonnie) Garey of New Lexington, Clyde (Teresa) Garey of Portersville and Delmar Gene Boring; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren; five brothers and sisters: Donald (Bev) Boring of Crooksville, Judy (Fred) Hazelton of New Lexington, Carol (Jeff) Cavinee of New Lexington, Chris Boring of Crooksville and John (Michelle) Boring of Crooksville and many nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Jimmie Lee Boring.
Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, June 20, 2016, at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, where funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 21, with Pastor Mary Perani officiating. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
