To Cathi Jones and family- what a wonder writeup in the Morgan County Herald for your Uncle. It must be comforting to know he is now home with the Lord and his family. What a wonderful tribute to a veteran that sacrificed so much, God bless you all.

Thank you so much for your kind words of comfort. God's hand has steered this ship all along. He has given us hope to continue on and He has opened doors when we thought all hope was lost. We are all hopeful of seeing Perky one day soon! Now, he is at rest with his loving parents in a setting of wildflowers and horses-as he grew up. The family greatly appreciates your words of comfort.

I did not know Mr. White or any of his family but want to send my respects to his remaining family who are giving a proper burial and homage to a young man who served and died for his country. You will never know what he endured for America. You have done the right thing to honor him now and allow him to join his loving parents. Wish all American families were like you. May God bless you.

Thank you for your kind words. We have had the privilege to speak with a fellow POW who actually buried "Perky" in the POW camp so we know a tiny bit of his experience. We would do nothing less for him. We have also honored him by erecting a stone in the Memorial Section of Arlington National Cemetery and having a full military service there in 2007. Now he joins his loving parents in a meadow-filled cemetery-home at last! Thank you again for your kind words!

Thank you so much for your kind words of sympathy. I love my Uncle Perk (His nickname) and have grieved his loss for so many years. I never thought I would see this day that he would be found. It is a wonderful wonderful feeling to know that he is going to be here with us once again. Your kindness is so much appreciated during this sad - but happy - time. Sincerely, Cathi White Jones
