Floyd “Jerry” Penrod, 72, of Zanesville, Ohio died at 6:20am on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born April 7, 1944 in Six Mile Turn, Ohio to the late Harvey and Sylvia Wolfe Penrod.
Jerry retired from Cooper-Standard in 2008; he loved flying airplanes and radio controlled airplanes; like to travel to Pigeon Forge, TN, Camping and Cruising. He was a true Family Man.
Survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary L. Fitzpatrick Penrod of the home; children, Brian (Karen) Penrod of New Lexington and Brenda (Tony) Fleming of Zanesville; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Ditter, Jerry Fleming, Lindsey Koonts and Lauren Penrod; 1 great-grandson, Ashten Ditter; brother-in-law, Herb Wise of Heath and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by a son, Paul Penrod and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside Funeral Service and Burial will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at New Lexington Cemetery, 440 Swigart Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Chaplin Tim Patton officiating.
Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio in charge of arrangements.
