Joyce (Kinney) Givens

Joyce Givens, 61, of Junction City, Ohio met her Heavenly Father at 2:26pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Born February 2, 1955 in New Lexington, Ohio to the late Charles A. Kinney on April 9, 2000 and Myrtle McGill Kinney of Junction City, Ohio.

Joyce was a lifetime member of Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, where she was very active. She was a Sunday school teacher, board member, ladies ministries director and praise team leader; she instilled her faith in God  to all the foster children she helped raise along with the many children she loved and cared for during her lifetime career of babysitting. She was a true “Prayer Warrior.”

Joyce devoted her life to her Family, Friends and the Lord, she will be greatly missed by all.

Loving companion to her husband  of 44 years, Rick; also survived by son, Jason (Lorinda) Givens of Junction City; daughters, Mary (John) Barry of New Lexington and Maria (Tylor) Waite of New Lexington; grandsons, Trey Givens and Mason Waite; mother, Myrtle Kinney of Junction City; brother, Doug (Arlene) Kinney; sisters, Louella (Don) Dutiel and Rita (Gary) Barnard, all of New Lexington; aunts, uncles, cousins and so many other special and loving friends.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 5-8pm on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and from 10am-11am on Friday at the church.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, 7945 Tunnel Hill Road, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastors Brian Dutiel, Dave Albert and Larry Brisker officiating.Burial will follow in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ladies Ministries of the Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, 7945 Tunnel Hill Road, New Lexington, Ohio 43764.
