Nettie V. (Smith) Holdcroft

Nettie V. Holdcroft, 91, of New Lexington, Ohio passed from this Life to eternal joy on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Nettie was born May 16, 1924 near Glouster, Ohio to the late James and Addie Jones Smith.

Nettie was retired from Essex Wire in Zanesville and she attended the Church of Christ in Christian Union in New Lexington.

Left to cherish her memory are sons and daughters-in-law, Max and Betty, James and Dorothy and Curtis (Karen Hazlett) Holdcroft; grandchildren, Mark (Holly), Michael (Pam), Timothy, Gina (Chad) Lynch and Karrie Blosser; 14 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many longtime friends.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, John in 1963; daughter, Le Lea Kay in 2009; two sisters, Laura Carpenter and Addie Smith; three brothers, Wesley, Gail and Melford “Ernest” Smith.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the funeral home with Reverend Daniel Greer officiating.

Nettie will be laid to rest beside her husband at Maplewood Cemetery in Bishopville, Ohio.
