It was with sadness and joy that I received the news of Paul's death; Sadness for the loss and pain his family, friends and community feel in his absence, joy for the eternal life he now shares with those who have gone before him, and for the good memories he leaves with us who knew him. I much enjoyed and was edified by Paul's faith, hospitality, generosity and humor when I was Pastor at Holy Cross in Glouster where he prayed with us very often and joined us for refreshments in the church basement, staying in touch with his extended family. He faced his illness with great courage and faith. May he now rest in the loving presence of our Lord surrounded by the family and friends that have preceded him to our heavenly reward. I will light a candle for him at Assumption Church in Barnesville this week and remember him in my Masses. May you be consoled by the memories of Paul's loving and joy filled presence. Fr. Dave
